Finding stillness in the chaos
Hero image
Most of my worst photographs come from the days I was in a hurry. Not technically worst — exposed fine, focused fine — just empty. Nothing in the frame I actually meant to put there.
The camera doesn't slow you down. You have to do that part yourself, and it turns out that's the harder skill to build.
The habit I'm trying to keep
Before raising the camera, name one thing in the frame you actually care about. If you can't, you're not ready to take the picture yet — you're just taking a picture.
It sounds obvious written down. It is not obvious at 6am with a train to catch.
